Delivery Daze

Many of our suppliers are closed next week for their semi-annual "shut-down week," so we've been busier than usual back at the loading dock. Here's a quick look at some of the most recent deliveries.

Agavero Original. A 100% Blue Agave Tequila, blended with natural Damiana flowers. Created over a century ago and still hand-produced. Agavero can be used as a fine sipping liqueur or as a delicious addition to coffee and cocktails.


On the nose, a rich and spicy agave, with verbena and pepper aromas. The taste is lightly sweet, with a medium-full body of Reposado Tequila Agave, charred green pepper, medicinal bark and herb flavors. Available for $24.49.


Yards Cape of Good Hope. Though the recipe changes year to year, this West-

Coast style double IPA always embodies the adventurous spirit of the original India Pale Ales, and each year’s release is guaranteed to take you on an epic journey.

This year's batch bursts with notes of citrus, melon and pine from Ella, Lemodrop, Ahtanum, Motueka, Citra, Chinook and whole flower Columbus hops. Cape of Good Hope is a limited release beer, available for one month only in 12oz bottles and draught. 9.0% ABV. Pair with Spicy Indian, grilled chicken, Mexican fare.

2011 Rosenblum Cellars Carla’s Vineyard Zinfandel. 93 points from Wine Enthusiast: "A classic of the genre, this combines a deep color with luscious fruit character and spicy accents on a velvety texture. Firm tannins lend an appetizing grip, while the fresh ripe blackberry, clove and cedar flavors seem to melt on the tongue and linger on the finish. It shows great complexity and balance in a traditional dry style."

Poggio il Castellare Brunello di Montalcino 2010. 92 points from Wine Spectator. "A dense, rich and concentrated version, boasting plum, cherry, vanilla and meaty flavors. Powerful and long, if a bit burly on the finish for now. Needs time to absorb the oak. Best from 2018 through 2032. 2,000 cases imported."

The release price was $60, but it's on sale in the Bottle Club® for only $39.96.
