Pre-Turkey Corner

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. All we need to do is show up with an appetite. And craft beer. Here's a look at what's scheduled to arrive this week.

Dogfish Head Beer for Breakfast. A stout tricked out with all sorts of breakfast ingredients including Guatemalan Antigua cold press coffee, Maple syrup harvested from Western Massachusetts and for the quintessential Delaware breakfast touch - Rapa Scrapple and their secret blend of spices.

2-row Applewood smoked barley, Kiln Coffee malt, Flaked oats, Roasted barley, Caramel malt along with additions of Molasses, Milk Sugars (lactose), Brown Sugar, Roasted Chicory lay the foundation for this malty, breakfast-themed concoction. Enjoy huge notes of coffee in the nose and savory layers in the flavor.

Pair with hearty breakfast foods (eggs, homefries, scrapple/sausage/bacon), steak, vegetable hash, creme brulee. 7.4% ABV, 30 IBU.

Also new from Dogfish Head: 60 Minute IPA in cans, Pennsylvania Tuxedo and World Wide Stout.

Flying Dog Jalapeno White Ale, part of the Heat Series. Pair with Mexican melting cheese, guacamole with fresh cilantro and jalapeno, anything with salsa verde. ABV: 5.5%.  Flying Dog Sea Salt Caramel Brown Ale, part of the Brewhouse Rarities series. The caramel sweetness isn’t cloying, so you could pair this with a not-too-sweet shortbread or cheesecake. Want to go savory? Try it with dry-rub BBQ or smoked brisket. ABV: 7.0%.

Troegs Blizzard of Hops Winter IPA. We created this Winter IPA to toast hop growers around the world for another successful harvest. This storm of hoppy citrus
and pine notes is a bright reminder the end of the Hop Cycle is only the beginning. 6.4% ABV, 80 IBU. Pair with smoked salmon, grilled octopus, dry aged ribeye, or aged sharp cheddar. Available in 12-pack cans and 6-pack bottles.

We will also get one or two 3L bottles of Troegs Mad Elf, perfect as a special holiday gift.

While you're shopping, please take the time to peruse our beer aisles and windows. We have too many winter seasonal and holiday craft beers to list here. And we sometimes have extremely limited items in the cooler in the back, so don't hesitate to ask for Carton or Kane products, as well as Samuel Adams Rebel Raw.
