The New Brew Review

It's time for our look-in on this week's scheduled beer deliveries. Of course, there are other brews due in that are not profiled here, so please ask us if you don't see what you were waiting for.

Abita Seersucker Summer Pils

Abita Seersucker Summer Pils is a traditional pilsner with a full bodied malt flavor, hop bitterness and a light golden color. It is made with pilsner and carapils malts, hopped with German Tradition and Spalt hops. This Pils pairs well with seasonal summer favorites like grilled chicken, salmon or garden salads. It also is a refreshing choice with spicier dishes, Mexican food and most Asian cuisines. Try it with a mild white Vermont cheddar, Havarti or Monterey Jack cheese. 4.8% ABV.

Dogfish Head Rosabi

The vivid rose hue of this imperial Pale Ale comes from a combination of Munich and Caramel malts and a touch of red rice from Louisiana, birthplace of musician and collaborator Julianna Barwick.

Julianna, who builds ecstatic choirs by looping and layering her voice, helped choose the ingredients for Rosabi and visited coastal Delaware to brew a test batch.

Citrusy Simcoe and Centennial feed Julianna’s love of hops, and the star of the show is her go-to ingredient: wasabi. What’s hoppy? … Wasabi. The Japanese root adds bittering and herbal notes similar to hops, with its subtle heat creeping in after the kick of carbonation.

Pair with Grilled pork chops, tikka masala, white pizza, summer strawberry salad with yogurt dressing, sharp aged cheddar, buttermilk blue. 8.0% ABV.

Sixpoint RAD

No one in their right mind would dispute it being... TOTALLY RADICAL. Sixpoint RAD is a unique blend of fruit juices with ale to create the original summer crusher. The first Sick Liquid from the Mad Scientists' Laboratory- a refreshing take on what beer can be. 3.2% ABV.

Rogue Vodoo Doughnut Pretzel, Raspberry & Chocolate Ale

They say the third time’s a charm, and this time the collision of crazies created a Pretzel, Raspberry & Chocolate ale inspired by Voodoo Doughnut’s Voodoo Doll doughnut.  The Voodoo people say the magic is in the hole.  We think it’s also in the bottle.

This is a Doughnut Ale, best paired with a dessert. The 10 Ingredients: 2-Row, Munich, C120, Chocolate, Black - Kiln Coffee & Rogue Farms Dare™ and Risk™ Malts; Rogue Farms Rebel Hops™; Pretzels, Raspberry Extract, Chocolate, Pacman Yeast & Free Range Coastal Water.

Founders Devil Dancer

When you dance with the Devil, the Devil don’t change. You do. Massive in complexity, the huge malt character balances the insane amount of alphas used to create it. At an incredible 112 IBUs, it’s dry-hopped with ten hop varieties. 12% ABV.

Devil Dancer is a Founders Limited release, so call for availability.

Saucony Creek Hexerei White Magic Witbier

A traditional witbier that was brewed to style with a balance of soft white wheat and malts that offer a slight sweetness and distinct aroma flavors with the additions of coriander and sweet orange peel. 5% ABV, 17 IBU's.

Cheers!
