Worth the Trip

Our shelves and back rooms are filling up as we start the holiday shopping season. Here are a few of our newest products, along with a sprinkling of popular, back-in-stock items. And we're eight days away from the first delivery of the 2014 Beaujolais Nouveau. This popular holiday season wine will be available for sale on Thursday, November 20.

Coppola Director's Cut

These wines fall into that latter category. Look for the Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to arrive within the next few days. The reds are $15.99 in the Bottle Club®, and the white is $12.99 in the Bottle Club®. We should get enough to last until the end of December, but you never know.

Jim Beam Signature Craft Quarter Cask

7th Generation Master Distiller Fred Noe is pushing the boundaries by inventing the Jim Beam Signature Craft Series bourbons by experimenting with rare mashbills and finishes. Base bourbon finished with a variety of fine quarter cask bourbons, all aged at least four years in smaller barrels. Boasting notes of vanilla, oak, and a hint of caramel, this spirit should be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

Only $35.99 in the Bottle Club®.

Cameron Hughes Russian River Pinot Noir Lot 395

As America's leading negociant, Cameron Hughes delivers quality wines at exceptional price points. Inviting aromas of fresh raspberry, cherry and cola spice swirl around a dark earth core of forest floor, black fruits, and wet stone. Beautifully aromatic and intense. On the palate, a juicy texture is supported by dark fruits and cherry spice along with well-integrated French oak. Terrific structure is perfectly balanced by broad sweeping tannins. And Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with a Thanksgiving turkey. Only $16.96 in the Bottle Club®.

Banshee Cabernet Sauvignon

The Banshee brand has been growing. We started with their Sauvignon Blanc, adding a Rose, Pinot Noir and Red Blend. New to our stores, the Banshee Cabernet Sauvignon is like a bridge between the styles of yesterday's Napa Valley and today. It jumps out of the glass with aromas of black fruit, incense and plums. The flavors are well delineated and comprised of dark cherry, plums, mineral and touch of cocoa. There is also a streak of red berry through the mid-palate on a fine structured spine.

The suggested retail price is $40.00, and our regular price is $34.99, but the Banshee Cabernet Sauvignon is currently in the Bottle Club® for only $30.96.

Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis 2010

98 points from Wine Enthusiast, 96 points from Wine Advocate. From the WA review: "The 2010 Barolo Bricco Boschis is the flagship wine from this historic estate in Castiglione Falletto. The personality here is dark and brooding with savory aromas of cured meat and smoked bacon in a leading role. The intensity is bright and vibrant and the longer you contemplate the wine, the more it offers. Following a few swirls of the glass, you encounter sweet cherry, white almond skin, licorice and pressed rose. Still young, the wine shows enormous complexity. Its balanced structure and acidity would pair next to succulent lamb chops or any number of sophisticated meat recipes. Drink: 2016-2026."  $57.99 in the Bottle Club®.
