Friday Grab Bag

Welcome to the end of the work week. Except for our store staff, anyway. Our team works hard to provide you with the best customer experience anywhere, to match our lowest possible prices. And here are some of the things they're working on...

Events in Lawrenceville

The weekend kicks off with our free wine tasting, from 4-6pm today. Click here for the menu.  For craft beer lovers, the only event of the weekend is our Exclusive Allocated Craft Beer Sale, starting at 6pm today. The sale will last as long as our store stock does. Click here to see what's available. There are rarities and bottle-conditioned beers on the list. And the weekend's finale is the Castello Banfil Rosa Regale tasting on Saturday, from 2-4pm. Rosa Regale might be the perfect sparkling wine for Valentine's Day. Click here for more information.

Events in Woodbridge

We start the weekend with the Rosa Regale tasting, from 5-7pm today. We'll have our regular wine tasting tomorrow, from 1-3pm.

We've just added a tasting of Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co. beer on Thursday, February 19, from 5-7pm.

As a side note, we want to thank everyone who came out to our Lawrenceville and Woodbridge stores for the Climax Moonshine tasting and bottle signing. We were impressed by the enthusiasm of the huge crowds who wanted to meet Tim Smith.

New Products

Château Lilian Ladouys St.-Estèphe 2011: #72 on the 2014 Wine Spectator Top 100, at 90 points. Their review: "This is generous and forward for a St.-Estèphe, with plum and kirsch notes lined with hints of blood orange and red licorice. Shows a juicy feel through the finish, balanced by honest grip. A modern rendition that maintains a tug of terroir. Drink now through 2019."

Only $22.99 in the Bottle Club®. Limited availability.

Antinori Solaia 2011: An intense ruby red in color, at times impenetrably so, the 2011 Solaia shows intensely warm aromas which reflect the climate of the season while maintaining a delicate freshness as well. On the palate, the ripe red fruit and the spices, along with deep and floral notes, define the wine’s complex structure. The palate is succulent, rich, enveloping, and sweet thanks to the presence of dense, supple, and rounded tannins. The vibrant acidity contributes to the excellent expressiveness of the flavors and to a highly pleasurable, long, and persistent finish and aftertaste.

Solaia is produced only in exceptional vintages, and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese.

91 points from Wine Advocate, 93 from IWC, and 96 from both James Suckling and Antonio Galloni. $198.99 in the Bottle Club®. Very limited availability.
