Four Roses Bourbon traces its history back to the 1860's, and it remains an iconic brand. After ownership changes about 10 years ago, the brand returned to the shelves at Joe Canal's. Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is all they produce at Four Roses, as the production of blended whiskey went away with the old ownership. Four Roses is aged in unique single-story warehouses. That minimizes temperature variations, which provides a gentle, undisturbed and more consistent aging process, as well as more gentle, consistent flavors, body and aromas of the whiskey itself.

Four Roses is the only Bourbon Distillery that combines 5 proprietary yeast strains with two separate mashbills to produce 10 distinct Bourbon Recipes, each with their own unique character, spiciness, and rich fruity flavors. And the whiskey is aged in new, charred oak barrels.

Here, the Four Roses Canals Family Selection is bottled at cask strength from a single, hand-selected barrel. This is a 100-proof Bourbon, aged at least 7 years. Hints of ripe plum & cherries come with a robust, full bodied, yet mellow taste.
