Wine for a Snow Day

We'll admit that this wasn't much of a snow storm, but we like to have an excuse when we have a great bottle of wine that's ready to be enjoyed. That's what we have today, with the Château Pierre de Montignac Medoc 2010. We actually had a delivery of this vintage about 6 months ago, and it sold out quickly. At only $13.99 in the Bottle Club®, with a 90 point rating from Wine Advocate, this shipment will also sell out quickly.

Here's the Wine Advocate review: "The Pierre de Montignac has a nice healthy deep garnet color. The nose is open and generous with plenty of dark plum and blackberry fruit with hints of brine emerging with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy ripe black fruit with cedar and graphite. This has good structure, plenty of fresh acidity and a crisp lively finish. This is the kind of wine that gives the Cru Bourgeois a good name."
