One for the Aging

Normally, it's virtually impossible to find a good quality 1er Cru Mercurey for under $25. Fortunately, our exceptional buying power gives us the opportunity to offer this outstanding Burgundy in that price range.

"The 2013 Chateau du Bourgneuf Mercurey 1er Cru Clos l'Eveque has notes of cherry, spice and violet on the nose. A medium-bodied effort revealing flavors of bright red cherries, mixed red fruits, spice and a touch of vanilla. Very youthful and firm at this point. This will benefit from some bottle age and reward those with patience." - Brandon Bartfalvi, Senior Wine Manager, Lawrenceville.

The winery offers this description: Deep ruby red. The nose evokes raspberry and strawberry, with cherry on a spicy finish. Round and fleshy on the palate.

Wine and food pairing: steak, beef pieces, braised lamb in sauce, roast pork, stewed chicken. Soft cheeses or aged cheeses.
100% Pinot Noir, this will be well suited for your holiday table. Only $24.96 in the Bottle Club®.
