You Had Me At Cabernet

An old movie line (after all, Jerry Maguire was released almost 20 years ago) lets us ease into the review of one of our newest wines, the Five Rows Cabernet Sauvignon.

Brandon Bartfalvi, Senior Wine Manager at our Lawrenceville store, recently tasted the wine. According to Brandon, Five Rows is "a medium-bodied elegant Cab offering flavors of ripe raspberry and blackberry with a toasty oak note carrying through the smooth finish.  The wine gained depth after being open for an hour."

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is the inaugural Cabernet release from Five Rows, and it's aged entirely in French oak. This medium-bodied wine shows lush mouthfeel, balance and complexity. The ripe, sweet tannins and a touch of toasted oak complete the gentle finish.

We leave the final word to the winery: "Five Rows wines have been made in St. Helena, CA since our founding. Our fruit comes from select vineyards that produce elegant and impressive wines. We believe that decades of top winemaking experience allows us to create some of the best value wines at this price point. Taste the value of Five Rows yourself and see if you agree."

Only $12.98 in the Bottle Club®.
