New Products

Ryan Patrick Redhead Red is new to our stores, from Washington State. Ryan Patrick Vineyards was a pioneer winegrower in what is now Washington State's newest American Viticultural Area (AVA), Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley.

A blend of 88% Merlot, 10% Primitivo and 2% Malbec that is smooth and inviting.  Ripe raspberry and bright strawberry lead to a lush juicy mid-palate and an enticing finish.  First sip could lead to an empty bottle and for the price, lead to another one.

Food Pairing:  Great for sipping on its own or with light pastas, white or red meat or chocolate desserts. Available at $9.99.

Also from Washington State, look for Anew Riesling.

Opening with aromas of bright fruit, subtle spice and citrus, Anew Riesling offers a harmonious blend of pure fruit flavor, heightened aromatics and balanced acidity. Expressive flavors of fresh peach and a hint of spice give this wine a crisp, refreshing essence.

The winemaker adds 10% Gewurtztraminer and 2% Muscat Canelli to sprinkle some spiciness on your palate.

This wine is perfect on its own or paired with food. Try it with spicy Asian dishes, smoked salmon, lobster salad, pasta with light sauces and blue cheese. Priced at $11.99.

Ripped From The Headlines

A Philadelphia man helped solve the attempted extortion of one of the world's greatest winemakers. Read the story here.

A few weeks ago, we noted this story about dentists offering wine to their patients. Now we have news of a hospital in France opening a wine bar for their terminally ill patients. The story is here.

Cheers, everyone. Enjoy the weekend.
