Mid-Week Mixology

Since Wednesday Mixology didn't really work, we had to come up with a better name. Mid-Week Mixology it is, then. Unless you have something else in mind.

Here are a couple of rockin' recipes, courtesy of David Rudd, resident mixologist and Floor Manager at our Woodbridge location.

Summer’s White

As summer winds down, this pale cocktail is the perfect cocktail to catch the last long rays of the dog days of summer.  4 parts Porton™ pisco, 2 parts Tuaca™, one part agave nectar, the juice of ½ lemon and one spoonful of crème of coconut into an iced shaker for 12 counts.  Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.

Paloma

This is sometimes called “The Working Man’s Margarita”, maybe that’s why I like it.  It’s really not fussy, but it’s deeply satisfying when summer is getting to me.  2 parts Blanco tequila (I like Milagro™ Silver), the juice of ½ lime, grapefruit soda.  Build the drink in an iced high ball glass with a salted rim.  See what I mean?  Easy.
