Odds and Ends Post

We're all a little tired from the holiday weekend, and your blogger sustained a cooking injury, so we're just going to clean up some basics for today's blog post.

Tomorrow, Tuesday April 7, is National Beer Day. Seriously, you can google that to confirm. While we think that pretty much any day that ends in a "Y" is also National Beer Day, the team at Woodbridge is taking the holiday very seriously.

At 6pm tomorrow, we will tap kegs of Ballast Point Sculpin, Habanero Sculipin and Grapefruit Sculpin. Now that's the way to celebrate National Beer Day.

And don't make plans yet for Friday, May 8. We're planning an in-store Mother's Day dinner for that day. Details TBA.

Back in stock are Sledgehammer wines. We're again carrying three expressions of this unreservedly masculine wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Forged Red.

Never mind the French-sounding name, the Cabernet Sauvignon is All-American. Grown in Northern California, the Sledgehammer Cab offers a smooth, rich flavor that pairs well with prime steaks, not baguettes and pâté.

This is not the elegant, delicate sipping wine that you’d find at your grandma’s bridge club. To the contrary, Sledgehammer Zinfandel is big, bold, and spicy. It pairs well with grilled meat and loud music.

Sledgehammer Forged Red is for the man who prefers drinking good wine more than talking about it. It’s wine that does not beg to be analyzed or over-thought. Simply put, it’s a blend of red wines that tastes good. It enhances good meat and good times.

Available in the Bottle Club® for only $8.96. It's not too early to think about a little something for Father's Day, you know.

Another thing that we take extremely seriously at both Lawrenceville and Woodbridge is our ID policy. We follow the law, and, to protect our shoppers and our communities, we also ensure that everyone in a group is of age, and able to prove it in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. Our rules, which are based on those laws, are posted prominently at our store entrances and at checkout. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not compromise on the law, or on public safety.
