Hey, Beer Here!

For baseball fans, that's a familiar and welcome greeting. Now that spring training games are underway, a great summer ritual will be renewed. And as sure as the return of nice weather bring back baseball, it brings us new seasonal and year-round beers. This is a quick look at a few of this week's new beers. Up first are the seasonals. Please remember that many of our craft beer items, especially the seasonals, are only available in limited quantities. Except for the Saranac, these items are available in both stores.

Otter Creek Steampipe. We burned the rulebooks, and when the smoke cleared we created this counter-culture interpretation of a California Common Lager that’s dosed with juicy hop flavors. 6.0% ABV, 55 IBU's.

Great South Bay Hopsy Dazy. Packed with the floral aroma and citrus flavor of the finest American hops, this session IPA brings out everything
you want in an IPA with a crisp malt finish. 4.5% ABV.

Saranac 12 Beers A Springing. Includes three bottles each of these four different brews:

Pale Ale is true to English style – rich and fruity with a crisp hop finish. Delicious rich and flavorful, this is a complex brew with an easy-going taste.

Prism: This lighter wheat ale might have a hazy appearance, but one thing’s crystal clear: it practically sparkles with bright, citrusy flavor.

Heart of the Hop: At the heart of this beer is a citrusy combination of
Simcoe and Citra hops, while Rye malt adds a dry spiciness, and caramel and carafa malts give it the dark amber hue.

Goat Rodeo: Two types of German hops combine with a trio of malts-German Pilsner, Caravienna, and old-school floor-malted lager malt. The brew is step-mashed for added depth, making a rich, slightly herbal bock.

Currently available exclusively at our Woodbridge store.

As you may have heard, New Belgium's Fat Tire Amber Ale finally rolls into New Jersey next week. While there are a lot of moving pieces in the equation, we expect to begin selling it this coming Monday, March 14. And that cliche about a picture being worth a thousand words? This one:
We've also just received several new year-round beers. Here's one example:

Voodoo Brewery KillaPilz. Matt has dubbed this a Voodooized Kellerbier by blending Czech, German, and Polish style pilsners, creating a one-of-a-kind freakish hop monster of a beer. KillaPilz lays the smackdown with its 8 varieties of European hops. 7.5% ABV.

As before, this is just a small sampling of this week's new deliveries, and plenty more are on the way. To stay informed on our beer developments, talk to Steve in Lawrenceville, or Susan in Woodbridge.
