More of the Best Events in New Jersey

It's a pretty daring claim-that we have the best events of any liquor store in the state of New Jersey. But we back it up, so it's all good. There's so much going on at both stores that we had to break it out into a stand-alone post. And we're barely mentioning our regular wine tasting events.

We anticipate being able to sell New Belgium's Fat Tire Amber Ale on March 14. That is subject to change and availability, so please check in here and our social media for official updates as we get closer.

Events in Lawrenceville

We begin the month with our regular Friday (4-6pm) and Saturday (2-4pm) wine tastings. Click here for the tasting menu. What we've been doing of late is making sure that most (or all) of the wines are what we have current coupons for. That way, if you like something, you can save even more money.

Dave Guffy, The Hess Collection
On Tuesday, 3/8, 5-7pm, we have a visit from The Hess Collection winemaker Dave Guffy. Of course, you'll have the opportunity to taste some of his wines, which are always among our top sellers.

On Friday, 3/11, please join us for a tasting of Prairie Organic Vodka. Prairie’s single vintage organic corn is distilled to taste, not a prescribed number of times. That’s because climate, soil, and moisture levels give each small batch its own unique character. Preserving that character takes personal attention, giving our spirits an award-winning taste that can stand on its own.

Most people who enjoy wine know about the fuss made over Beaujolais Nouveau at its November release. Traditionally the first wine released from that year's harvest, Beaujolais Nouveau is associated with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Partly, because it really is a good pairing, but also because it's released on the third Thursday of November.

There is, however, a whole lot more to Beaujolais than the Nouveau release. We're exploring Beaujolais wines with a special tasting on March 19, from noon-3pm.

Hard sodas are the current rage. So many people, for example, mixed Jack and cola or Jameson and ginger ale that the only surprise is that it didn't hit sooner. Save the date: March 19, 5-7pm, for a tasting of the Best Damn Cherry Cola.

That's not bad for a three week stretch. Click here for Lawrenceville's full Event Calendar, where we already have additional events scheduled late into the year.

Events in Woodbridge

We have a weekend full of tastings, going from Friday to Sunday. We start with a Prairie Organic Vodka tasting on Friday, 5-7pm. (See the notes above). On Saturday, it's our regular wine tasting, from 1-3pm. Click here for the tasting menu. And we wrap the weekend with a tasting of Henry's Hard Soda on Sunday, from 3-5pm.

Craft beer reigns on March 11, as we host a tasting of Forgotten Boardwalk's Pocket Trick Imperial IPA. This is one of those "gotta have it" beers, so don't miss it. Limited availability.

On March 12, look for a tasting of Crown Royal Rye and Apple, with bottle engraving available. Might as well sample this great whiskey and get your
Father's Day or graduation present secured.

Starting March 17, we'll have three days of tastings to celebrate the arrival of New Belgium beers in New Jersey. Fat Tire Amber Ale has been getting all the buzz, but we'll have lots more on the Growler station. Click here for the updated information.

There's plenty more on the calendar just this month alone! On March 18, in addition to the New Belgium event, we're hosting our Beaujolais tasting, from 5-8pm. Click here for details.

Did we start your decision-making process for Father's Day or graduation gifts? How about additional options? We're hosting a Bulleit Bourbon engraving event on March 19, and a Captain Morgan custom labeling event on March 26.

We wrap up March with a Founders Small Plates and Sampling event on the 31st. That sold out a while ago. Click here to send an email to get on the waiting list, just in case seats open up.
